Moving your party (and individuals) feels much more natural in Solasta Crown of the Magister. I’ll inevitably refer to Baldur’s Gate 3 quite a bit, since they are quite similar, and it’s fresh in my mind. The time spent was mostly juggling what kind of build to go for. There was quite a lot to read through and consider, but nothing overwhelming. Having spent ages on my character, it made sense to use the computer-generated party.Īs for me, I was able to create a race, skillset, class – all those sorts of attributes you would expect and more. Like any good RPG, there’s a character selection screen, much like Baldur’s Gate 3, only you can create a complete team to play with, and Tactical Adventures encourages it. It is worth noting that players must own the Inner Strength DLC to play as the new Dragonborn race. For instance, while Black Dragons are resistant to acid themselves, they can unleash a deadly Acid Breath on their foes. Furthermore, they have damage resistance to certain types of elements and do a Dragon Breath attack depending on their Draconic Ancestry. They get +2 Strength and +1 Charisma on every ability score increase. They are descendants of unions between polymorphed dragons and humanoid lineages.
